And from work of all places! Tsk, tsk.
One more surgery and I will finally be done. Dr. Lee is awaiting a green light from the insurance company, then under the knife once more! This will be an "exploratory" operation to find out why my septum is crooked. I'll be glad when it's over, my headaches have already been reduced to 2-3 times a month, quite a change from every other day. Progress!

Decisions
Well, it's been awhile since I've updated this thing so let's give it a whirl shall we!
Not a whole lot has actually changed, plans were made (and may still be kept) and some decisions need to be...decided. I'm in a very good place career wise, we never thought there was the potential for this much money in Seattle...to jump to an amount 3 times the amount that I was previously making is insane! And that's just the starting salary, how can I give that up?!? It's not like I wouldn't be able to find work in San Francisco, it's just unlikely that I'd be making that much money and I will have to be the bread winner for the first year. Ahhh! This is a hard one...
p.s.
Please refer to my post on August 17th where I TOTALLY CALLED THAT! (See: Resident Evil 5)

Tired.
Why does every computer that I touch today freeze? For serious. I'm pretty tired of everything right now. My nose is messed up and I have to have a second operation to fix it, my job sucks, I don't have any friends...stuff just generally sucks right now. I want to go back to school, but the more I think logistically about it, the more I realize that it probably won't be possible for a long time. Something needs to change soon.

Incoherent rant.

I hate the term "gamergirl." I am so tired of hearing/seeing it thrown around. I've "ranted" on this subject before, but I am sometimes at a loss of words because it makes me so angry. My rant today is caused by a gaming shows attempt to hire a new personality by having any "gamergirl" send in a video of herself explaining why she should be said personality, then the masses are made to vote on these girls. Guess which girls (with one exception) got the most votes. The alleged winner is all but deep throating an Xbox controller, and has various swimsuit shots accompanying her profile. Is that what qualifies a girl as a gamer? If I fuck a camera will I in turn be a professional photog? Of course when commenters comment on her being a half naked female, the response is "Treat her as an equal." How the hell? What do you expect you silly shits?
It's not her fault, it's the people who are still making a big deal out of females in the gaming industry/world. If you're expected to be illustrator, you damn well be able to illustrate. If you're expected to be a female...

Updates.
It's now 3 weeks post-op, I will be posting an up to date profile picture soon. In the meantime, here is the immediate post-op picture.

Pretty swollen, but apparently, I am the least swollen patient that Dr. Lee has ever had. So that's good.
For later reference, here is a picture from PAX 2007. Me and Big Daddy. It's a good picture showing off my "gummy" smile.

The hard part is over!
It'll be three weeks on the 13th since I had my jaw surgery. So far I'm pleased with the aesthetic results, I won't know how I feel about the internal results until the swelling completely subsides. As far as that goes, I've had minimal muscle pain and hardly any pain in general. I still am not able to eat as I haven't quite gained control over my tongue or cheeks yet...hopefully that won't last for long. All in all, it's turned out to be a far less stressful experience than I thought it would be!
